Top 4 Places To Eat or Drink in St Augustine, Florida

St. Augustine, Florida, offers a rich mix of history and a lively food scene. Whether you’re looking for a cozy coffee shop, a busy gastropub, or a legendary restaurant, the city provides memorable experiences for all tastes. From casual snacks to fine dining, each spot has its own atmosphere and flavors, showcasing the city's lasting charm. Here are some top restaurants and bars to visit in St. Augustine.

O.C. White’s

A cherished dining spot housed in a charming yet haunted 18th-century building. Here, you can enjoy a drink or a meal inside or sit outside on the patio while listening to live music.

The chiropractor I saw recommended it because a ghost is said to appear in the women’s bathroom. I went to see the ghost, but she didn’t show up. Others say you can see her move glasses at the bar or that she’ll visit you in the mirror while you're washing your hands. Plus, the food and drinks are excellent!

 Columbia

This well-known Spanish restaurant is celebrated for its elegant old-world charm, with its hand-painted signs and warm, inviting lighting. It’s famous for its legendary 1905 salad, which I received for free since the kitchen accidentally made an extra.

I decided against ordering their Cuban sandwich and chose another main dish instead. However, when I later visited the original Columbia in Ybor, I finally tried the sandwich. I also recommend their red sangria, especially when paired with their freshly baked Cuban bread. I’m glad I visited this restaurant, as it inspired me to go to the Ybor location!

Fox Tail Coffee

This cozy, modern spot is perfect for grabbing your morning pick-me-up, just like I did—two days in a row! I googled coffee shops since my hotel wasn’t cutting it. I had never heard of this coffee place until I was in St. Augustine. The atmosphere is laid-back, with exposed wood and plenty of space to work. I really wish I had taken the time to write here, but I had to explore. I highly recommend Julie's Golden Treat; it’s one of their signature lattes!

 Barley Republic

This relaxed Irish gastropub offers both indoor seating and a breezy patio, making it an ideal place to unwind after exploring the historic district. It was my nightcap after a long day of driving and sightseeing. I even let a local suggest my next day's adventure here! Whether you're craving live music or a peaceful pint, this place has you covered.

Which place are you planning to visit? If you went to O.C. White’s, did you encounter the ghost? Let me know in the comments!
